Match Report
Back to the league and a tough fixture away to Potter St.
With neither team at full strength this game could have gone either way.
Romans got off to a flyer when Wilson finished well on 7’ after some excellent pressure from Kumar won the ball in the Potter St half.
The lead was short-lived however as a needless free kick was given away two minutes after the restart and slack marking allowed Potter St to equalise with a well taken volley.
Tings were fairly even with Romans having the better chances but it was Potter St who took the lead from a corner that wasn’t cleared properly on 23’.HT 2-1 Potter St and work to be done.
The second half saw Romans take more of a grip on the game as Potter St sat back a bit.
On the hour mark Gray made it two each with a well taken goal, set up by the immpressive Kemp.
More pressure from Romans and a penalty on 89’ after a trip on Harris was duly dispatched by Gray to make it 3-2.
The points should have been in the bag but in time added on for injury a Potter St long ball was followed by indecision and a piece of comic genius from the Chavster.
Penalty Potter St. and 3-3 final score.
