Match Report
A somewhat tetchy affair, interspersed by some moments of good football from both teams.
Romans started strongly but had to survive a fair amount of pressure before taking the lead when a Wilson shot couldn't be held by the Christchurch 'keeper and Gray was in the right place at the right time (35') to make it 1-0.
Christchurch responded well and their dangerous attacking midfield nearly equalised before half time with a long range curler that hit the bar.
HT 1-0
Within ten minutes of the restart, the equaliser was scored when a badly defended corner was powerfully dispatched by the C'Church centre back.
Following a scrappy period of play with neither team able to create anything, Gray returned the favour for Wilson by releasing him to make it 2-1 on 62'.
C'Church got on top but a superb breakaway effort and finish by Kumar on 77' made it 3-1.
Chances to extend the lead came and went and it should have been all over but Christchurch pulled one back with five to go then piled forward in search of an equaliser which came when they were down to ten men in injury.
